There are many eating out options to suit every pocket, here are just a few. We strongly recommend you check opening days of each restaurant - they do all shut one or two days a week (even in peak season!).
Everyday Choices

This restaurant has become a regular choice for our guests, with a nice garden terrace, and childrens play area. Choice of everyday dishes which offers good value for money.

This restaurant has been extremely popular with our guests. During the summer months you can eat "Al Fresco" overlooking the Chateau. They do an excellent Cote de Boeuf (but only if you like it rare, they can be very french and refuse to cook it more than rare, so be warned). The menu has lighter meals of Pizza's and Brochettes together with speciality wood grilled steaks. Prices range from 15-30 euros per head. They specialise in summer cocktails. Chez Stef can work out expensive if you order all 3 courses and wine - but the choice is yours.

This is a special place and is excellent value for money (A favourite of ours). You can spend the morning with the family on the the man-made beach. perhaps a bit of canoeing or horse-riding. Then enjoy a great Plat de Jour value for money lunch overlooking the lake.
In the evening this is a first class restaurant with special service, and they will cook the Cote de Boeuf "Bien Cuit" for our english clients.

The Golf Club offers a really good quality Plat de Jour lunch, in a relaxing setting of the side of the 18th Green. A 3 course lunch with a glass of wine is approx 14 Euros but it is definatley worth more. The presentation is first class. The restaurant is open evenings also, and you must book in advance if you want to go for Sunday Lunch - it is really popular. It is open Monday lunchtimes (which is rare en France)
L’Oubliette – very small French restaurant with good choice and prices ranging from 20 -25 euros per head in La Rouchfaucauld. We have been once in an evening and it was very pleasant - check the opening times.

In front of the Château of Nieuil, in the old stables, the restaurant 'La Grange Aux Oies' is a charming place. One of the best restaurants in the region situated in the grounds of an old chateau. The restaurant offers an all inclusive price to include 3 excellent courses, wine and coffee for around 50 euros per head. Well worth the money when you consider the choice and quality available with wine included.

Chef Stéphane THEYS, welcomes you to the Domaine des Etangs by purchasing fresh, seasonal produce from a network of local farmers first thing in the morning, making the most of the estate’s resources (the mushrooms found in the forest, the herbs from the herb garden, pike perch and bass, and game and then dreaming up dishes throughout the day before preparing a single five-course dinner that everyone shares. Excellent choice of restaurants serving a wide variety of food from around the world (Japanese, Chinese, Lebanese as well as French of course). A strong recommendation from our guests is La Braise in the rue des Trois-Notre-Dame, but there are many worth a visit!
