Welcome to
We think Puyravaud offers something a little different from the majority of carp fishing venues in France! The combination of luxury accommodation, a beautiful setting and some great carp fishing mean this is a location suitable for families, friends and those wanting something a little different from the traditional drive and survive approach. The non fishing guests are certainly well taken care of, with the beautiful newly appointed barn and cottage, the stunning courtyard, 10m x 5m swimming pool and a multitude of things to do locally.
The buildings date back to the 18thCentury and were used by the Resistance during the Second World War and the whole complex has been newly renovated. The barn has four double/twin bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms, a large social downstairs, fully fitted kitchen, toilet and utility room. The adjoining cottage has two double/twin bedrooms, both with en-suite, and lovely combined lounge, diner and kitchen. Both properties have outdoor areas for alfresco dining. Additional B&B accommodation is available in the main house if required and we challenge you to find a better balance of quality carp fishing and great accommodation in a beautiful and peaceful setting.
Puyravaud is situated in the Charente, and as such enjoys excellent weather for most of the year. We are 50 minutes from

Big carp fishing is focused on the larger lake (Puyravaud 1) with 120 carp up to 45lb. The fish are growing at a phenomenal rate with the excellent natural food resources in the lake. Further stocks will added in November 2010.
The lake, dating back to the 1800’s, was completely refurbished in 2009 and provides only 6 swims for private and exclusive fishing.
The smaller lake (Puyravaud 2) will be refurbished in 2011/12, but currently offers excellent fishing for younger or less experienced members of the group, with fish up to 15lb.
